Yellow to Orange Gradient Pumpkin Mug #2669

Pumpkin mugs are the best fall mug, and this one is perfect for all your needs! It was thrown on the wheel out of a white stoneware, carefully shaped into 8 lobes, then trimmed first by the wheel, then by hand to carefully match the lobes. Then a fancy handle was added that has a curve on the inside of the mug, and a little thumb rest on the top.

The mug was painted with a gradient of orange underglazes blended until they faded gently into each other. The handle was painted in a green underglaze, and then fired once. The mug has a green celadon glaze on the inside, and a clear glaze on the outside. The mug was fired to cone 10 in reduction, leading to some gentle variations.

As with all of our pottery, this mug is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. 

We number all of our pottery for collection and storage purposes. This mug is number 2668 and is one of a kind.
