Tenmoku Glazed Little Rounded Bottom Groggy Mug #1749
 
Thrown out of a groggy stoneware clay, this little cup is perfect for tea like matcha!  The grog gives the cup a lovely texture to hold, but the bottom has been smoothed to help keep the mug from scratching any surfaces. It was glazed with a tenmoku glaze that is brown where thinner and black where it is thicker, then fired to cone 10 in reduction. 
 
As with all of our pottery, this tumbler is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. 
 
We number all of our pottery for collection and storage purposes. This mug is number 1749 and will be the only one we make with this number.
