Orange Pumpkin Mug with Fancy Handle #2658

This autumnal mug was thrown on the wheel and altered to have a lobed pumpkin shape, has been painted various shades of bright orange in a gradient, with the slightly paler color up on the top, and the brighter oranges towards the bottom. The handle has a small curl on the inside, and a vine like thumb rest. The handle has also been painted green. The foot of the mug has been specially carved to closely match the lobes. The inside of the cup was glazed with a toasty shino glaze and, the outside was glazed with a clear. The mug was fired to cone 10 in reduction which gives the outer surface some variation. 

As with all of our pottery, this mug is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. 

We number all of our pottery for collection and storage purposes. This mug is number 2658 and is one of a kind.
