Little Blue Flower Gaiwan with Saucer #2485
Gaiwan are a chinese style of teapot meant for gongfu tea. Rather than a spout, they have a lid and sharp lip on the edge of the pot to hold the tea leaves back and pour nicely. This one has little tiny blue flowers and bands of blue painted along the outside. The little plate that comes with it has a cut rim in a random pattern. All parts are glazed with a blue celadon and fired to cone 10 in reduction.
As with all of our pottery, this gaiwan is food, dishwasher and microwave safe.
We number all of our pottery for collection and storage purposes. This teapot is number 2485 , and is one of a kind.
