Green Carved and Patterned Tumbler #1771
 
Thrown out of a white stoneware clay, this cup is is perfect for iced tea and other cold drinks. The cup was covered in a green slip, then various patterns were carved across the surface down to the bare clay. Each ring of pattern is different, and it has a lovely soft texture when held. It was then glazed and fired to cone 10 in reduction.Lela threw and glazed the cup, and Nick did the carving.
 
 
As with all of our pottery, this tumbler is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. 
 
We number all of our pottery for collection and storage purposes. This mug is number 1771 and will be the only one we make with this number.
