Elegant Pumpkin Mug with Fancy Handle #2661

Sweet and autumnal, this pumpkin mug is ready to be your perfect fall companion! It was thrown on the wheel out of a white stoneware, carefully shaped into 8 lobes, then trimmed first by the wheel, then by hand to carefully match the lobes. Then a fancy curly handle was added along with a thumb rest, and the mug was painted with a gradient of dark orange underglaze up at the top to a softer orange at the foot by hand until the faded gently into each other. The handle was painted in a green underglaze, and then fired once. The mug has a green celadon glaze on the inside, and a clear glaze on the outside. The mug was fired to cone 10 in reduction, leading to some gentle variations.

As with all of our pottery, this mug is food, dishwasher and microwave safe.

We number all of our pottery for collection and storage purposes. This mug is number 2661 and is one of a kind.
