Copper Splash Slipware Red Clay Mug #2394
 
This sweet slipware piece was thrown on the wheel out of a red clay, handled, white slip was applied over the surface. This technique leads to a very luminous surface, with the red clay adding depth, and the white slip adding brightness. Nick then applied a base coat of glaze, and dapped copper glaze over the top. These pieces are made of midrange clay, and fired to cone 5 in oxidation. 
 
As with all of our pottery, this mug is food, dishwasher and microwave safe.
