Carved Mug with Altered Lip #2455
 
Thrown, then altered and carved, this mug has deep lines carved into the surface of the mug, with three little alternating wide lines. The pattern resembles bamboo leaves, just a little bit. The lip was divided into four sections, then gently altered to have a curved shape. The mug was glazed with two coats of a blue celadon glaze to give it a deep blue color in the carved lines. 
 
As with all of our pottery, this mug is food, dishwasher and microwave safe.
 
We number all of our pottery for collection and storage purposes. This mug is number 2455.
