Blue Celadon Floral Pumpkin Carved Candle Holder #1923
 
This candle holder is pumpkin shaped, and covered in carved flowers of various types. The pumpkin was thrown on the wheel out of a porcelain clay, then altered and then carefully carved. Some of the flowers go all the way through, to cast cool shadows, and some are just carved very thin to glow from within. It was glazed in a blue celadon glaze before being fired to cone 10 in reduction. 
 
This piece is intended for use with a tea light candle. The top will get hot, so take care, and only use with supervision. 
 
While this pot is technically food, dishwasher and microwave safe, it was not designed for food use.
We number all of our pottery for collection and storage purposes. This candle holder is number 1923.
