Floral Blue Celadon Carved Berry Bowl with Handles #1721
 
Elegant and functional, this pretty betty bowl is ready to come home with you! It was thrown on the wheel out of a white stoneware, then the bowl was handled and the holes for drainage were carved. The holes are all carved little flowers, and the inside line of the flowers has been painted blue.  Berries are meant to be washed using the bowl, but can be stored in it as well, however, due to the size of the holes, this bowl would be best for strawberries or larger berries. The bowl was glazed with a blue celadon glaze, and fired to cone 10 in reduction. 
 
As with all of our pottery, this bowl is food, dishwasher and microwave safe. 
 
We number all of our pottery for collection and storage purposes. This bowl is number 1721, and is one of a kind.
